Not for Profit Experts to Challenge Conventional Thinking at CHASE 2015

17th and 18th February, Business Design Centre, Islington, N1 0QH. Free registration here.

A programme of 60 free seminars at CHASE 2015 will give delegates new ideas and practical resources to improve their performance, according to event organisers Conference House. Case studies are a key feature of this year’s event, giving delegates the chance to learn from others who have found successful solutions to specific challenges. Particularly popular sessions include:

Thames Hospice, sharing their experience of starting a new lottery scheme to raise extra funds.

Blood Cancer UK, on how outsourcing registration has allowed them to recruit 70,000 donors in 12 months.

Victim Support, discussing why and how they became the first charity to create a crowdfunding platform.

Greenpeace International, on their experience of implementing a new fundraising system from scratch.

Lloyds Bank, outlining a 3-point plan to maximise your investment returns in today’s tricky economy.

There’s plenty on the agenda for associations too. Norman Rose, President of the Institute of Association Management, will explain the changing landscape for associations, encouraging delegates to rethink their approach to membership and management for future success. Luke Ashby, Digital Consultant for the Electoral Reform Society, will explain how using social media in the election process can increase voter turnouts and encourage members to engage. Whilst Andy Burman of SEBCO Third Sector Consulting, will reveal how to get past outdated governance structures and achieve faster, more effective change.

Other popular speakers will include Sir Eric Reich (Founder of Classic Tours), Michael Maynard (Chair of The Funding Network), Chester Mojay-Sinclair (managing Director of Charity Checkout), Nick Brooks (Charity Partner at Kingston Smith LLP) and a panel of experts from Paypal Giving Fund.

New exhibitors have also been announced, with a wide range of technology providers, fundraising suppliers, venues and conference centres, CRM specialists and legal, financial and governance experts all ready to meet delegates. New exhibitors include crowdfunding platform Hubbub, data protection specialists Protecture, Microsoft Gold Partners Core and Charity Plus, developers of a unique mobile fundraising app.

“We work hard to make sure that CHASE brings new ideas and services to delegates every year” Michelle Moran, Exhibition Director, said today. “That’s really important, because the environment for both charities and associations is changing fast. When delegates leave the event, we want to make sure that they are armed with the knowledge they need to make a success of whatever the year ahead has in store for them. Delegates know that they can rely on us to deliver a lively event that will really get them thinking.”

CHASE is sponsored by Platinum Sponsors Advanced NFP and NFP Business Services, Media Partner Third Sector and Drinks Reception Sponsor Cloud Symphony. The drinks reception takes place on Tuesday 17th February after the daytime event.

Conference House was set up in 1991 as a conference management company before incorporation in 1999. In 1993, the company launched its flagship event, CHASE (the Charities and Associations Event), to create a forum whereby managers, directors and trustees from non-profit organisations could meet with suppliers of goods, services and advice to this important sector.

In 1999, the company launched NFP TECHNO, the first e-mail newsletter for the UK non-profit sector covering technology issues specifically relating to charities and membership bodies. This was followed in 2006 by the launch of Association News. Both publications are distributed twice monthly.
