APTOOD – Psychometric Graduate Recruitment

The Aptood Tests are broken down into multiple-choice questions across four main areas: three Adaptive Ability Tests (Numeracy, Linguistics and Administration) and a Competency Test.

The 20-minute Competency Test reveals the candidate's workplace 'traits' and carries a high level of predictive validity to their future job performance. It uses a variety of theories including: Jung's Theory of Type, Big 5, Emotional Intelligence, 14-scale Values (Maslow / Herzberg) and 9-scale Relationship. The candidate's results are analysed at 130 reference points and are broken down into 8 criteria: Analytical, Applied/Practical, Commercial, Decisive, Driven, Managerial, Original, and Social/Communicative.

The Adaptive Ability Tests are comprised of Numeracy, Linguistics and Administration. The difficulty level of each question is individually tailored to the speed and accuracy of the candidate's last answer, ensuring correct and consistent results. The results of these tests are cross analysed with the candidate's Competency results, and are used to match their unique abilities against potential career paths in which they could excel.

Aptood is completely free to use for graduates and makes job-hunting easy. Candidates can simply complete their personal profile and apply for jobs that require their unique traits. An optional matching service will also send high suitability job matches directly to their inbox so no opportunities will be missed.

Employers can use the simple all-in-one solution to post their vacancies, along with pre-screening questions and the specific ‘traits’ they are looking for. Candidates applying for the role will be matched according to the vacancy's requirements.
