Adam has become one of Romford’s first disabled fitness instructors through pioneering charity programme

Adam Hollick has a spinal cord injury which has left him with reduced sensation and muscle strength but he is proving that this is no barrier to a successful career in the fitness industry. After completing a voluntary work placement, he is now a paid fitness instructor at the YMCA gym in Romford. Adam was offered free training through the InstructAbility programme.
Tomorrow is Spinal Cord Injuries Day, a national day to raise awareness of the life changing effects of Spinal Cord Injury. Every Eight Hours someone is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It could happen to any of us at any time as a result of accident or illness.
National Day shows that spinal cord injury needn’t stop you getting the most out of life.

On Friday 17th May, Spinal Injuries Together, a grouping of the UK’s five major spinal cord injury charities, will be raising awareness of the life-changing effects of spinal cord injury through national Spinal Cord Injuries Day. In the UK alone, someone is told they may never walk again Every Eight Hours.

We ask Lady Gaga to auction her gold wheelchair to help disabled people afford vital equipment
Last week we heard that Lady Gaga commissioned designer, Ken Borochov, to make her a gold plated wheelchair for her to use while she recovers from hip surgery. Thousands of disabled people struggle to afford a wheelchair that meets their basic needs so we're suggesting that Lady Gaga auctions her chair once she's finished with it and donates the money to help disabled people buy vital equipment.
