Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos core expertise in hi-tech transactional services, will be responsible for the processing of the electronic payment transactions of KBC and its clients until the end of 2016.
The collaboration comprises the processing of the payment transactions of traders and cardholders and the provision of services relating to the issue of debit cards. Services for the online management of KBC-guaranteed cheques will also be performed in collaboration with Atos Worldline.
Both Atos Worldline and KBC are thrilled with the continuation of their agreement. Bart Guns, Senior General Manager Group Payments at KBC said: “With this contract, KBC is opting for the continuation of the services by a very robust and reliable supplier of transaction services and a partner who is constantly striving for innovation.”
Willy Walraeve, CEO of Atos Worldline in the Benelux: “This contract is a confirmation of the joint efforts of Atos Worldline and KBC to offer the best services for users of electronic payments. This collaboration will enable cardholders and traders who are clients of KBC to continue to enjoy fast, safe and secure electronic payments. Through the expertise of Atos Worldline, KBC can be certain both of a further expansion of services and a smooth switchover to Bancontact/Mister Cash in a unified European payments market.”
