Poborsky joins BetClic, and teams up with another Benfica legend!

When Karel Poborsky spent two glittering years at Benfica, he became an instant fan favourite along with Joao Pinto – and now their paths cross again as the Czech legend has signed for online betting company BetClic becoming their newest ambassador.

“I am really looking forward to my new role, betting is exciting,” Poborsky tells BetClic.

BetClic can soon put up an All Star team on the pitch with their portfolio of ambassadors around Europe including Marcel Desailly, Ruud Gullit, Dan Petrescu, Joao Pinto and Kiko.

The next one to join is Karel Poborsky, the most capped player ever for the Czech Republic with 118 appearances for the national team, between 1994 and 2006. Poborsky is still remembered for his famous lob in the Euro 96 quarter-final against Portugal and also played for Manchester United (1996-97) and Lazio (2001-2002) but reached superstar status in Benfica (1998-2000), where he played alongside Joao Pinto, another BetClic ambassador.

Poborsky will be making predictions and writing columns for BetClic in the Czech Republic, giving his inside view on football in the country and around Europe.

“It will be a very interesting spring and I hope to have a lot to say about what is going on. Betting on football should be fun and entertaining and I hope to give the BetClic customers some good advice,” Poborsky tells BetClic.
