LAMILUX supplies architects, designers and engineers with BIM objects

LAMILUX enhances its support for architects, designers and engineers: From now on, LAMILUX offers intelligent digital replicas of its real products – BIM objects. The advantage of those objects is that the 3D models can directly be integrated into different software programs during the early planning process of a building. This makes it possible to avoid design errors and reduce costs at an early stage. LAMILUX is one of the first manufacturers of daylight systems that is offering such a service.

From January 2015, 3D models are available for the main product groups of LAMILUX. These include the CI System Rooflight Dome F100 as smoke lift, the flat roof window CI System Glass Element F100 and CI System Glass Element FE, the CI System Continuous Rooflight B as well as the glass roof CI System Glass Architecture PR60 in the hipped roof design.

The BIM objects of LAMILUX are initially compatible with the CAD systems ArchiCAD and Revit. The parametric models contain extensive detailed possibilities, such as available dimensions, the selectable glazing, the U-values and the building material classes.
