Sto releases StoVentec and StoTherm Vario D+ as BIM objects
Sto releases the facade insulation systems; StoVentec and StoTherm Vario D+ as intelligent BIM objects, available at the BIMobject® Portal as of today.
StoVentec facade systems can be used successfully both in new construction and renovations. The system provides a fast and high-quality solution with a seamless surface, especially suitable for humid substrates with a high degree of roughness. Through the system’s ventilation and drainage, the underlying wall construction remains dry, protected and functional. StoTherm Vario D+ is a two-stage drained facade system. The system is the ideal solution for those looking for a moisture-proof system, and who want to use a lightweight insulation material with good insulation value, good drainage ability and proven fire safety.

The BIM objects available for both Revit and ArchiCAD include properties such as different sub-structures, insulation thicknesses, surface finishes, standard range of colors and grain size of the plaster. A fully automated tool for placement is available. In ArchiCAD it is also possible to get a complete bill of materials. The intelligent BIM objects allow users to work on each component separately.
