Tork launches BIM objects for its hygiene products

Tork, a brand within the Swedish corporation SCA, releases a complete catalog of BIM objects on all dispensers in the field toilet, kitchen and workshop/industrial to name a few. Tork dispensers have won the prestigious if design award and has attracted much attention in the world through its beautiful and functional design. The importance of communicating with interior decorators and designers have a high priority for Tork, therefore, it has been using BIMobject AB to develop all its dispensers as real BIM objects. BIM objects support the most progressive and innovative way to create and maintain BIM objects, by using the cloud and database technology from BIMobject. Products are available and searchable by Google and as easy accessible views in 3D, read product information and download directly to CAD / BIM systems such as Autodesk Revit & ArchiCAD. Tork’s BIM objects are available in 3D DWG format for AutoCAD and AOF files for Artlantis and BIM Render.

BIM objects are fully optimised for each system, takes up minimal space and have full functionality in Revit and ArchiCAD to support quantity take offs and listing functions. All product information is available as parameters in the respective downloaded files, taking the Tork BIMobjects into real BIM, where "I" stands for information. This means that designers have access to product information directly in their BIM systems and even active web links back to the Tork product pages, but also links to installation and product sheets in PDF.
