Walsall school raise £800 for Birmingham Children's Hospital

Mayfield Prep School in Walsall has raised £800 for the oncology ward at Birmingham Children's Hospital after one of their 7 year old pupils, Joel Sheldon, was treated for a brain tumour. Joel underwent a 9 hour surgery and several cycles of chemotherapy before scans finally showed that the tumour has gone.

Joel's mum Louise also raised over £4000 for the hospital by competing in the Virgin London Marathon in April.

Mayfield Prep School raised the money by holding a non-uniform day and donating money from their summer fete and tuck shop.
