GuardTools® 10 Years – 10 Countries

Gothenburg, October 2014. It is today 10 years since the founding of Blue Mobile Systems AB. The company started as an off-spring of studies by ex-G4S and Securitas guard Peter Andreasson at the Viktoria Swedish ICT institute. Right from the start the company focused on changing the manned guarding industry from “pen & paper” to “modern IT” with an end-client focus.

Amongst the first investors trusting the business idea were Truvé&Vasell and GU Holding, whilst public support from Almi, Innovationsbron and VGR helped the young company many a times to be able to invest in what was to become GuardTools®;a brand well-chosen and nowadays registered for all major markets, including the USA.

“The truth of any business lies in the acquisition of paying customers, and GuardTools® would not be available today if it had not been for the first entrepreneurial customers such as Cubsec, Swedish BevakningsTjänst (now Nokas) and Sydsec in Sweden”, says founder Peter Andreasson . “We are also greatly indebted to the first international customers HHVagt, AvantGuard and InterServe, which have helped the company in so many good ways too.”    

The redesign of the product into a full SaaS based Operational Support system required new investments during 2010. To which a major new investor was found. It also brought the start of the international expansion. In the local Swedish market, the winning of the prestigious “Security company of the Year” award was a large milestone too.

Today GuardTools® is available and installed in 10 countries and not the least after last weeks’ tremendously successful participation at Security Essen, expansion into more countries is expected to be announced during the coming months.

Bringing IT solutions into the security industry marked the start of the company. In todays’ world with many easily available local mobile worker apps, the need for a professional full support system is becoming more apparent than ever. Offering the guard in the field a most modern way of working on a contemporary device has meant that GuardTools® soon will be released on a full Android version. “We are happy to meet up to the present avalanche of “Apps” arising in the industry. Pairing GuardTools® users to a highly secure and stable operational support system with proven depth makes a huge difference to professional clients”, stated Peter Wahlgren, CTO. “It is great to celebrate our 10 years anniversary with such a marking point!”
