Apr 17, 2013 06:52 BST blueprint.tv has been aware of the growth of tablets in the last few years, but we were still surprised when we saw the latest figures released by the International Data Corporation (IDC) which showed that demand for tablets surged by 78% last year and is set to pass desktops and laptops in 2014. There is also a rapid increase in the amount of video we consume - 59% year on year growth in 2012.
