Blue Moose see a rise in productivity post engagement study

Committed to growth in 2018, Blue Moose recently addressed engagement levels in the workplace.

With studies stacking up to support the correlation between engagement levels and productivity, Blue Moose set to work to ensure they're doing all they can to engage their staff and contractors. The first step was to gather a deeper understanding of what factors contribute to engagement or lack of. The leading causes of disengagement include a lack of knowledge of company direction, feelings of undervaluing, lack of appreciation or acknowledgement.

a great way to address any internal issues is to compile and complete an anonymous survey, three examples of great questions to include would be:

1. There are excellent opportunities to grow or learn new things around here.

2. My leader regularly talks to us about our futures/career progression in positive ways.

3. We are regularly recognised for our good work.

Post review of the questionnaires it's a great idea to call a team meeting to address any common areas of concern. Make the session an open forum to source a solution. Could the introduction of a team leader/liaison manager in crucial meetings serve as a solution for anyone unsure of the direction of the company or project, or the introduction of a monthly company newsletter which highlights new or developing projects and staff achievements?

Blue Moose has been committed to engagement levels from day one. Each contractor and staff member is invited to an opportunity meeting in their first week. The purpose of which is to highlight current strategies and projects, inform every one of processes to address any issues or share new ideas. Career and progressional maps are also explained, and critical motivators are noted to ensure maximum effectiveness of project selection is made. The firm regularly rewards top performers and individuals who have made significant progress with cash bonuses, team building events and travel opportunities. Confident that this has allowed the company to expand the firm look to continue regularly check on their success to fully engage workers.
