As a young firm with big goals, achieving maximum productivity is pivotal. Ms Robinson hosted a workshop for Syrac Inspirations contractors to share new policy to help them achieve optimum productivity.

Create artificial deadlines

Having a deadline to work to instils a sense of urgency. “When there is no time limit for a task, it can be easy for people to procrastinate and therefore, a deadline is a great tool for instilling urgency and boosting productivity,” commented Ms Robinson.

Limit Smartphone time

In the age of rapid advances in technology, there are a plethora of distractions which can prohibit people from achieving maximum productivity. One of the most common disturbances is smartphones. Syrac Inspirations is urging aspiring professionals to eliminate distractions. “Smartphones can be great for working remotely. However, they can also be a huge distraction with constant notifications. Syrac Inspirations is urging young professionals to cut down on their phone during the day, and only having set time periods to use it.

Wake up early

An easy but highly efficient way to get more done! The most successful entrepreneurs start their days at 5 A.M. “Everyone has the same 1440 minutes in every day, it’s how someone maximises their minutes that determine how successful or unsuccessful they will become,” commented Ms Robinson.

Delegate tasks

Delegation is a vital skill for entrepreneurs to boost their productivity. It’s important to recognise what tasks contribute to the bigger picture and what ones are less significant and delegate those tasks. "I find myself trying to control everything, and wanting to be involved in every aspect of my business and decision making, however, I know that that is not possible and that I need to trust people to do the tasks I delegate to them,” commented Ms Robinson.

2017 has been a great year at Syrac Inspirations, seeing the firm expand its market reach, taking the firm closer to its growth goals. Looking ahead to 2018 the business is urging contractors to apply these easy to implement time management tips to help both personal and company development.

Syrac Inspirations is hopeful that this workshop will act as encouragement for the firm's workforce to use their time more efficiently and get more done. The firm’s managing director Rachel Robinson is pleased by the feedback from the workshop and looks forward to seeing the results in the next few weeks.
