BT Fleet garages to open 24 hours a day

BT FLEET GARAGES TO OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY

Leading fleet management provider, BT Fleet, has extended opening hours at some of its larger garage locations in response to growing customer demand for out-of-hours services.

Customers of the award-winning company can begin taking advantage of 24 hour services in locations across the country. Phase one of the process has already been completed in Glasgow, Northallerton, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Wimbledon. More locations are expected to be added during a later second phase.

G4S, the AA, and BT’s Openreach division are among those already taking advantage of the benefits this new service provides. For example, the ability to have vehicles serviced and managed during periods when they are less likely to be in use allows these companies to plan and deliver a more continuous and efficient service to their customers. Mission-critical fleets such as St John Ambulance will also benefit from this 24 hour service, aiding their capability to provide 24/7 emergency care.

Furthermore, as more customers begin to use the out-of-hours service, pressure on the traditional day shift will be relieved, reducing waiting time for those customers wanting to use the BT Fleet garages during the day.

Henry Brace, Managing Director, BT Fleet, said: “Looking at the specialist needs of our customers, extending our opening hours was the best way for us to continue to provide the best possible service. We understand that the majority of our customers operate outside of the traditional 9-5 working day, so we’ve tailored our service to accommodate their needs. We are eager to finalise phase two of the programme, allowing even more customers across a greater number of locations to benefit from the extended opening of our sites.”
