Appeal to trace missing teenage girl - Ramsbottom

Police are growing increasingly concerned after a 18-year-old girl went missing yesterday, Sunday 15 September 2013.

Kayleigh Hadfield was last seen at her place of work, Belinis Restaurant, Ramsbottom, at about 6.30pm yesterday. It is believed she may have visited the Ramsbottom Music Festival, which saw thousands of music lovers visit the town last night.

Officers are now appealing direct to festival goers to get in touch if they saw Kayleigh. Officers are also speaking to friends, relatives and are conducting an extensive search of the local area.

Kayleigh is described as white with a slim build and around 5ft 5in tall. When last seen she was wearing a black leather jacket, black long-sleeved blouse, black pants, black socks and shoes and long handed shoulder bag with black tassles.

While she has been reported missing on one previous occasion, the circumstances of her disappearance are completely out of character. Kayleigh suffers from Aspergers and is described as vulnerable.

Chief Superintendent Tim Forber, Divisional Commander of Bury Police, said: "Kayleigh is a vulnerable young woman and the circumstances in which she has gone missing are totally out of character. I am concerned for her welfare and need anyone who has seen her to contact us.

"One line of enquiry is that after leaving work she went to the Ramsbottom Music Festival, so I would ask anyone who went there yesterday evening to look at the photograph of Kayleigh and call us if you saw her."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8222.
