Press release -

Businesses needed to play their part in Township Forums

Local companies are needed to play their part in determining neighbourhood plans and priorities.

Both Prestwich and Whitefield and Unsworth Township Forums need business representatives to sit on their advisory boards.

Councillor Jane Lewis, cabinet member for communities and culture, said: “Forums are comprised of councillors representing township wards and an advisory group which represents the community. These are volunteers across a wide range of partnerships, and are invaluable in providing a link to their community and helping to shape the local area.”

The next Whitefield and Unsworth meeting is on 8 July, while the Prestwich forum meets on 23 July.

Businesses who would like to play their part should go to www.bury.gov.uk/townshipforums and fill out the form at the link on the right.
