Celebrate Bury’s sporting heroes and heroines

Nominations are being sought for Bury’s annual celebration of sporting excellence, theBury 2015 Sports Awards.

Now in their tenth year, the awards are organised by Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service and Radcliffe and Bury South Sports Forum, and celebrate those who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Bury or achieved personal success over the last 12 months.

There are ten categories:

  • Volunteer of the year
  • Coach of the year
  • Sports achiever of the year
  • Disabled sports achiever
  • Club of the year
  • Unsung hero of the year
  • Changing lifestyle recognition award
  • IWIYW active female of the year
  • Primary school special recognition award
  • Secondary school special recognition award

The winners will be presented their award at a special event, to be announced shortly, while the winners of the first six categories will go forward to represent Bury at the Greater Manchester Awards in November 2015.
