Press release -

Customer task force goes from strength to strength

Residents, customers and carers have been playing their part in helping to develop the future of social care services.

They attended the recent meeting of Bury Council’s ‘Customer Task Force’ at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury and gave their views on how services for them could be improved.

Visitors took part in interactive workshops and tested out the Bury Directory, which is a new online community directory. They also asked questions about the current Healthier Together consultation and on how Bury is joining up health and social care services.

A council spokesman said: “The day was a great success, and we recruited seven more members to the task force. We received some excellent feedback and customers were excited that they would be
able to find all the information they needed easily and in one place. We’re looking forward to the next event.”
