Press release -

Employment, health and skills fair at the town hall

Bury Council will be hosting an employment, health and skills event on Wednesday 19 October.

The event, which will take place in the Elizabethan Suite between 2pm and 7pm, will provide jobseekers with the opportunity to meet local employers and find out more about training and development opportunities available in Bury.

As part of the council’s commitment to making Bury a great place in which to work, live and study, this free event will provide jobseekers with the opportunity to:

  • Meet employers who are looking to recruit - hear more about the various jobs they currently have available and possible career opportunities.
  • Talk to skills providers – advisors will be available to discuss your training and development needs, e.g. English and maths, practical life skills, work experience, apprenticeships and higher education.
  • Meet health and support providers - who can offer information, advice and guidance to support you to find and remain in employment.
