Healthy agenda at Prestwich Township Forum

Residents are invited to play their part in discussing important local issues when Prestwich Township Forum meets on Monday 3 February.

The meeting will include a presentation on from Bury 3rd Sector Development Agency on its work and how it can support volunteering opportunities and help local voluntary groups. There will also be an introduction to the Healthwatch team and how it can help people with health issues.

George Heron from Incredible Edible Prestwich will be at the meeting to give an update on the work that it has been doing, including working with local schools and developing community garden space.

There will also be a police update and the usual open forum where members of the public can raise any questions or issues of local concern.

The meeting is held at the Longfield Civic Suite in Prestwich, and starts at 6.30pm.

Councillor Paddy Heneghan, chair of Prestwich Township Forum, said: “I am sure that this meeting will be of interest. There is a lot of good positive work going on in the local community and this is a chance to learn more about it. Everyone is very welcome to attend, as always.”
