Press release -

High Street plans unveiled at Prestwich Township Forum

Plans to improve the main road through Prestwich village will be unveiled at the local township forum.

The meeting is on Thursday 12 November at the Longfield Suite, and everyone is invited to come along and hear the proposals, and take part in a formal consultation process.

Also on the agenda, from 6.30pm on, will be updates on the Town Plan, reports from the police and on funding available for community groups, and the usual public question time.

There are two events before the forum starts which the public are invited to attend. Firstly, from 5.30pm, there is the latest meeting of the Police And Communities Together (PACT) team; and, from 6pm, there is a ‘Market Place’ information session around Carers in Employment and the support available for working carers and their employers.

For further information please contact Ruth Shedwick, township co-ordinator, at r.shedwick@bury.gov.uk or 0161 253 5327.
