Labour retain Radcliffe East ward in by-election

Karen Leach retained Radcliffe East ward for Labour in last night’s (Thursday 8 June) Bury Council by-election which was held following the resignation of councillor Nick Parnell.

The result:

  • Robert Graham (Liberal Democrats).......232
  • Nicole Haydock (The Green Party)........221
  • Karen Leach (Labour Party)........2,861
  • James Mason (The Conservative Party Candidate)......2,046

The turnout was 60.34%. The line-up on Bury Council is: Labour 32 seats, Conservatives 16, and Liberal Democrats 3.
