Library pictures – at Radcliffe

Visitors to Radcliffe Library can enjoy viewing a dozen works of art produced by a local man.

Denis Haslam, a lifelong Radcliffe resident, has recently retired and started painting as a hobby in the last few years.

He loves painting portraits, and one of his favourite works is a copy of “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by the Dutch master Johannes Vermeer.

He has now put 12 of his works, done in acrylic and watercolour on canvas and wood, on show at the library for the next month.

If you want to pop in and see the pictures, Radcliffe Library is open from 10am to 4.30pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday); from 12.30pm to 7pm (Thursday); and from 9.30am to 1pm (Saturday).
