Make IT work for you – free course for beginners

A free Online Basics course is being run in libraries to help people use IT and the Internet.

These weekly sessions can provide all sorts of advice on online banking, job hunting, keeping in touch with friends and family and using email, all while keeping safe online.

Sessions are led by an experience tutor in a relaxed environment. There are no exams and you work at your own pace, but places must be booked.

  • Tottington Library – Mondays, 10am to noon
  • Ramsbottom Library and Adult Learning Centre – Mondays, 1pm to 3pm
  • Whitefield Library and Adult Learning Centre – Fridays, 1pm to 3pm

Small group sessions are also held at Unsworth Library, Radcliffe Library, Bury Library and Prestwich Library and Adult Learning Centre.
