Meet crime author Kate Ellis at Bury Library

Crime author Kate Ellis will be coming to meet readers at Bury Library on Thursday 4 May at 7pm.

That’s the date her new novel “A High Mortality of Doves”, set in the aftermath of the First World War, is published in paperback.

Kate has written two crime series - the Wesley Peterson series and DI Joe Plantagenet series – along with two historical crime novels and many short stories, and has sold more than half a million books worldwide.

Her latest work is set in 1919 in the Derbyshire village of Wenfield. Just when the village is coming to terms with the loss of so many of its sons, the brutal murder of a young girl shatters its hard-won tranquillity. When two more women are found murdered in identical circumstances, Inspector Albert Lincoln is sent from London, a man not only wounded in war but damaged in peace by the death of his young son and his cold, loveless marriage.
