National acclaim for Bury’s award-winning market

The famous Bury Market has won another award and been voted Britain’s Best Market Attraction.

That was the decision of the judges at the NABMA Great British Market Awards 2015 (National Association of British Market Authorities), held recently in Birmingham.

It’s the latest accolade for the market which has been nationally acclaimed on numerous occasions for its innovation, quality and large number of coach visitors.

Market manager Andrew Heyes said: “It was great to see Bury Market being recognised for its contribution to the region’s tourist economy and it is always good to see our traders, who make the market what it is, getting the acknowledgement they deserve for their hard work and effort.”
