Press release -

Need advice on the recent changes to pensions?

Free and impartial advice on the major recent changes to pensions is on offer at the next meeting of Prestwich Township Forum.

Wigan and Leigh CAB will be providing a Pension Wise service to help people understand the changes and how this will affect them and their families.

You can also meet your local police officers for one-to-one informal discussions before the formal meeting starts.

The meeting is on Thursday 17 September at the Longfield Suite, Prestwich.

Following the Pension Wise presentation at 6pm, the forum proper will include updates on the area’s township plan and funding available to community groups, and you can meet the new Police Sergeant for Bury South. There will also be the usual 'open forum' when residents can raise any matter of local concern.

For further information, contact Ruth Shedwick, township co-ordinator, at r.shedwick@bury.gov.uk or 0161 253 5327.
