Parking strategy top of agenda at Prestwich forum

Details of a new parking strategy will be unveiled when Prestwich Township Forum meets on Thursday 12 March.

Residents are also invited to hear a presentation from Metrolink about their services, and to meet the new police inspector for the area, Ben Cottam.

With the general and local elections coming up, officers will explain the new system of individual electoral registration and encouraging residents to make sure they are on the register.

Also on the agenda are updates about the BTCV Barn at Philips Park, Whitefield, the Township Plan, and about the funding available to local groups. There will also be the usual open forum for any local matters to be raised.

The meeting takes place at the Longfield Suite, starting at 6.30pm.

For more details, contact township co-ordinator Ruth Shedwick on 0161 253 5327.
