Tottington by-election on Thursday 22 October

A by-election will be held in Tottington on Thursday 22 October to elect a third councillor for that ward.

The election has been prompted by the recent resignation of former councillor Simon Carter.

Anyone who wishes to stand as a candidate in the by-election has until 4pm on Friday 25 September to submit their nomination forms.

  • Are you on the voters’ roll? Under the new system of Individual Electoral Registration, each person is required to confirm their own details. Closing date to be on the register in time for this by-election is Wednesday 7 October: email electionservices@bury.gov.uk or call 0161 253 5252.
