Press release -

Whitefield road closure at the Township Forum

The lengthy closure of Croft Lane is top of the agenda when Whitefield and Unsworth Township Forum meets on Tuesday 8 July.

Representatives from United Utilities will be there to explain the work they are doing, which will last several weeks.

Residents will also be asked to take part in ‘round table’ discussions about the local Town Plan, and have their say about local concerns and how improvements to the area can be made. There will also be the usual open forum in which to raise any local matters.

The meeting will be held at the Elms Community Centre and starts at 6pm.

  • The forum is looking for a representative from local business to sit on its advisory board. If you      would like to join, go to www.bury.gov.uk/townshipforums  and fill out the form at the link on the right.

Further details: Ruth Shedwick, Whitefield and Unsworth township co-ordinator, on 0161 253 5327 or r.shedwick@bury.gov.uk
