Dave Arcari: Scottish dates follow SxSW success for Glasgow musician

FRESH from a triumphant USA tour and showcases at the renowned SxSW (South by South West) festival Scottish troubadour Dave Arcari hits the road with a series of Scottish and UK dates.

Arcari kicks off the home turf shows with a gig at The Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh on Thursday 23 April and follows with a headline show at King Tut’s, Glasgow on Saturday 25 April.

The live dates will be preceded by a return appearance on STV Glasgow’s Riverside Show on Wednesday 22 April (7pm) – while in the USA Arcari produced two short ‘behind the scenes at SxSW’ video pieces for the show. In between getting back to Scotland and the forthcoming live shows Arcari has been busy at Chem19 studios with engineer/produced Paul Savage (Delgados) recording tracks for a new album scheduled for release in the Autumn.

More Scottish shows (Irvine and Dundee) and festival & club dates across the UK continue through May, June and July.

Arcari has shared the stage with major artists including country/Americana legend Steve Earle, the mighty Alabama 3, Seasick Steve, Toby Keith and veteran blues-rocker Robin Trower.

A regular at UK and European festivals, Arcari cites recent highlights as Glastonbury; Moulin Blues Festival in Holland; Belgium’s Peer Festival (alongside Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and Steve Winwood); BluesAlive in the Czech Republic and Poland.

Headline shows in the USA and mainland Europe as well as across the UK continue to take Arcari and his music to a wider audience beyond the confines of any specific genre.
