FREE panel discussion event in London: The Calm Photography Movement

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and the Calm Photography Movement are proud to present a free panel discussion event at Getty Images Gallery on Thursday May 18, 10-11.30am. 

Panellists Simon Jack (BBC Business Editor), Steve Wallington (TCPM co-founder and Creative Director), Poorna Bell (Executive Editor of HuffPost UK and author of Chase the Rainbow) and Casey Moore (photographer) have all lost family members and friends to suicide. Together with James Scroggs (CALM’s Chair of Trustees), they will discuss themes central to the Calm Photography Movement: masculinity, self-expression, photography, mental health and male suicide.

The CALM Photography Movement aims to shine a light on modern man and provoke discussion on masculinity and mental health, as well as raise awareness and funds for CALM. It has involved a competition for amateurs and professionals, with images submitted online and through photography platform EyeEm. Scott Shillum and Steve Wallington, both of whom have lost family and friends to suicide, have founded the Calm Photography Movement with support from partners Topman and Lynx. The winners of the competition are now exhibited until May 20 at the The Getty Gallery London.
