- Jonathan Eastwood Rejoins Central London Retail Team from Capital Retail -
CBRE continues to strengthen its UK Retail division with the appointment of Jonathan Eastwood as a Senior Director in the Central London Agency team.
Eastwood returns to CBRE from retail specialist Capital Retail where he spent five years as the Partner in charge of Central London Agency. He brings to the role extensive retail experience, including project work for Land Securities on the site assembly of the VTI2 scheme and strategic retail planning on behalf of Ballymore following the successful refurbishment of Old Spitalfields Market.
Further retail experience includes estate work for Derwent London’s Baker & George Estate, and more recently Milligan Retail at Camden Lock Market. Eastwood’s client portfolio also includes Deutsche Bank, Royal London, Prupim, as well as several independent fashion occupiers.
Eastwood will continue to work on major Central London High Street projects, including the leasing of 527 Oxford Street – a prime 15,000 square foot retail unit - on behalf Korine.
Jonathan Eastwood, Senior Director – Central London Retail, CBRE, commented:
“I have enjoyed five successful years at Capital Retail and wish them continued success in the future. I leave Capital Retail on very amicable terms, but I am tremendously excited to be given the opportunity to re-join CBRE. I look forward to working with some of the leading retail clients in the industry and helping to further enhance the reputation of CBRE’s already market-leading Central London Retail team.”
In a challenging retail market, CBRE has made significant investment over the past 18 months in both the headcount and new services of its Retail team, strengthening core areas of leasing, acquisitions, lease consultancy and capital markets. CBRE’s Retail team currently comprises approximately 200 employees, an increase of 30% from 2010.
Ciaran Bird, Head of UK Retail, CBRE, commented:
“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan back to the CBRE fold - particularly given the experience he has acquired addressing key clients during five successful years at Capital Retail. Jonathan has proven experience in the Central London retail marketplace and brings to the role considerable expertise that will further strengthen a team that is already renowned as the best in the business.
“This appointment continues our policy of hiring only the very best talent in the marketplace. As the market changes, we have made significant investment in both our team and the new services we offer. This has enabled the delivery of a unique market-facing service with dedicated landlord and retailer teams providing clients with the very best specialist insight and knowledge.”
