New Treehouses complete at Center Parcs Woburn Forest

Following the huge popularity of Treehouse accommodation at the short break provider’s other villages, Center Parcs has just completed the creation of three Treehouses at Woburn Forest, one of which is specially adapted for wheelchair access.

This new accommodation, sitting in amongst the trees, can be found close to the lake in the heart of the forest, the perfect setting for wildlife spotting. Whilst the Bedfordshire-based location feels a million miles away from everyday life, it is just 50 minutes by train from London St Pancras train station, making it the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital.

The Treehouses have been designed to embrace the forest, which is reflected throughout the interior. A spiral staircase winding round a faux tree trunk is central to the layout, and details such as floor to ceiling retractable doors, a large outdoor terrace, smoked oak timber walls and oak planked floors all help to incorporate the surroundings and create a true forest experience for families.

Suitable for up to eight guests, there is plenty of room to spend time together in luxury, with three large stylish bedrooms situated on the lower level; one double room with en-suite bathroom and two twin rooms with en-suite shower-rooms. On the upper level of the Treehouse, the master suite offers a secluded escape for relaxation after a busy day. All four bedrooms have their own private balconies, accessible through full height, sliding glass doors.

The living area is a great space for the whole family, with a beautiful fireplace – the perfect area to share stories from the adventures that day. In the dining area, an eight person dining table makes a good setting for long lunches and ambient dinners and, beyond the dining area, a daybed offers a quiet retreat to curl up for story time.

Each Treehouse is decked out with the latest technology, including a plasma TV mounted above the fireplace in the central living area and iPod docks throughout. The open kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and wine cooler. A chalk board on the dividing wall between the kitchen and daybed adds a playful element to the space.

For the ultimate indulgence, Treehouse guests have a large hot tub and sauna on the outside terrace to enjoy, and the surrounding trees provide natural cover. A dedicated entertainment room called a ‘Games Den’ is situated in a separate section of the structure, which can be reached by a bridge from the main terrace.

This style of accommodation even comes with its own Treehouse host, on call if you need anything during your stay. With a gorgeous, locally-sourced welcome pack on arrival and bikes already delivered, it’s the most indulgent bolt hole you can have at Center Parcs.

Martin Dalby, Center Parcs' CEO, said: “It’s great that our guests have loved the Treehouses at other villages and it’s absolutely fantastic that we can now offer this amazing accommodation to families coming to Woburn Forest. Nature and family time are important aspects of the experience we offer, so something this unique and stylish, with family time at the heart of the design, nestled in the trees, is something very special.”
