Commonwealth Youth Games From Salford to Samoa

The heads of the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG)  2015 Federation have appointed the TRA team to have responsibility for leading and facilitating the internal media team of the CYG 2015 in Samoa.

The UK team will be out at the Games for the next couple of weeks providing news coverage of all the Pacific Island athletes activities and achievements. With years of professional experience between them, Glyn and Katy work with young people from the UK and Oceania countries, changing lives for the better and developing a new generation of reporters. This is a quite unique approach to youth development and provides young people with a wonderful opportunity to gain access to worldwide sporting events. The approach of TRA is to build long term quality relationships with young people and, provide a satisfying and rewarding experience for supporting corporate partners.

The TRA international team has six young people from Melbourne and six from Samoa with Glyn and Katy heading up operations and training. TRA are funding the entire trip which is an indication of the voluntary commitment required to deliver this level of dedication to developing young people's lives. the TRA has worked for many years now in the Pacific region and the founders Glyn and Katy feel a true obligation to provide continuity and a sustained education to the young people who live there.

On a daily basis the team will produce the official Games content and deliver media operations with direct liaison with the world's media. They will experience the same pressures felt by the highly trained and seasoned professionals reporting, from this major event, to all the major broadcasters across the globe.
