Lintbells Showcases Mobility Matters Programme at PATS

Lintbells will showcase its Mobility Matters campaign at PATS Sandown on stand K13. Data from the Royal Veterinary College suggests that 15 percent of all cases presented at vet practices have musculoskeletal problems* and joint stiffness is very common, especially in older dogs. The ‘Gold Standard’ for many of these pets is to take a multimodal approach, using many different techniques to help them maintain or regain mobility and live a happier life.

The Mobility Matters support material is available to retailers free of charge and supports outlets to offer a value-added service to people who own dogs with stiff joints or reduced mobility. The pack includes materials that help pet owners better understand their pet’s joint health and materials for retailers to signpost the support they can offer.

Gemma Cunningham, YuMOVE Brand Manager says there is a lot that retailers can do to help these pets, “Adapting the environment is essential – simple changes such as making sure they have a softer or lower bed, introducing toys that encourage gentle exercise without overdoing it and quality foods that help them achieve an ideal weight, can all make a big difference YuMOVE Dog provides high levels of Omega 3 EFAs to support stiff joints and when given alongside all these other things offers significant benefits to the pet. We wanted to ensure that retailers were given the tools that would help them make effective recommendations and to improve welfare”.

To complement the offer, delegates can also hear Lintbells Key Opinion Leader & Strategic Partners Manager, Adam Crisford’s thoughts on osteoarthritis in dogs and how retailers can support these customers. He will be delivering a seminar at 3 pm on 10th February entitled: ‘He’s just slowing down’ how to improve your customers pets’ quality of life living with osteoarthritis’

For Lintbells, every product starts with a pet in need. Based in Weston in Hertfordshire, Lintbells researches, formulates and manufacturers high quality, innovative natural supplements that aim to improve the lives of dogs, cats and horses. It’s a commitment the company takes very seriously and has resulted in products that support skin and coat condition, digestive health, joint care and behavioural support.

Established in 2006 by John Howie and John Davies, Lintbells has a strong focus on scientific validation of its products, working with experts such as the Royal Veterinary College and New Zealand’s Marlborough Research Centre. But it doesn’t stop with the science because helping pets is at the core of the business.

At all levels of the Lintbells’ organisation there’s a realisation that collectively, everyone has a responsibility to help keep pets healthy and happy by providing effective, high quality, pet supplements at affordable prices.

And it seems those efforts are increasingly appreciated by pets and their people. By the end of 2017, over 300 million YuMOVE tablets had been sold to pet owners in more than 15 countries.
