COSTA REVS UP WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF ‘HORSE POWER’ TO OPEN THE FIRST COSTA DRIVE THRU IN THE NORTH WEST
Jun 29, 2012 15:55 BST
Up and coming local jockey, Craig Ellingham, will join the first customers arriving at the new Costa Drive Thru using old-fashioned horsepower astride Rocketball, a top local racehorse trained by top regional Racehorse Trainer Lisa Williamson.
Craig and Rocketball joined the launch to celebrate the regions flat racing heritage and officially open the doors to the North Wests first event Costa Drive Thru.
The opening of the new store will mean that Costa’s fresh coffee and food will be available through its grab-and-go service from 5:30am to 9:00pm Monday to Saturday and 7:00am to 9:00pm on Sundays.
Mark Donaghey, Regional Manager for Costa in the North West said: “The new Costa Drive Thru stores offer something new to those who are on the move and are looking for a great coffee without the wait. We are so excited about the opening of the new store and to have our first customer arrive on horseback – really ties the site into the flat racing heritage of the region.”
Having created 20 new jobs for the area, the new store is planning to be another great asset in bringing the community together, with a love of great coffee and refreshments always at its heart. Mark continues: “We are passionate about both producing the best possible coffee as well as being at the heart of the community. We have invested over £300,000 into making this a great place not only for people to grab a coffee on the move, but also to relax and enjoy a leisurely drink and chat.”
Having launched its first Drive Thru in May 2011 in Nottingham, Costa has since added another four concept sites with the new store at Chester Deva Retail Park, Greyhound Park Rd, Chester marking the first opening of a Costa Drive Thru in the North West.
