Press release -

A WEBSITE THAT CARES

As pressure mounts on the Coalition to tackle the country’s care crisis, social enterprise, Cura, is attempting to play its part by launching an innovative new website that helps connect people who care.

www.curahq.com, which is free to use, allows users to mobilise family, friends and neighbours during times of need by setting up a secure web-based community. Members of a community have a real-time view of what help is needed, and can offer their support by either ‘taking’ tasks or leaving messages of encouragement.

People can set up their own community, perhaps if they need some support while recovering from injury or fighting illness. Equally, families can set-up communities to, for example, share the care needs of an elderly or disabled relative.

Neil Burgess, founder of Cura, commented: “With Cura we just want to make a positive change. At stressful times in our lives people around us often ask ‘let me know if there’s anything I can do’ but how often do we actually take up that offer of support? Cura is a simple and unobtrusive way to ask for a little help. What’s more, it’s completely free - so why not give it a try?”
