Football Coaching With Steve Howey

Head of football coaching at East Durham College, Steve Howey, will be on hand at this Saturday’s Open Day to run a number of football master classes.

Steve who made over 450 professional career appearances, mainly for Newcastle Utd and earned 4 England caps, played under some of the finest managers in the game including Sir Bobby Robson, Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Ruud Gullit and Ossie Ardiles.

Steve Howey has worked in the College’s Football Development Centre for the last 3 years and will run 15 minute master classes at 10.05am, 11.00am and 12pm at the Peterlee Campus on Willerby Grove.

Please bring your sports kit, trainers and boots to take part.

There will also be master classes in Boxing, Basketball, Dance and Rugby Union & League. Timings are as follows:

10.05am - 10.20am

There will be loads of other activities and demonstrations on the day such as a dog agility display, face painting & airbrush tattoos, bouncy slide and tea cups ride, group drumming tuition, free make overs and lots more.

The event, activities and demonstrations are all completely free, just turn up on the day!
