Press release -

Record Enrolment at East Durham College

East Durham College has seen a record number of students enrol at both their Peterlee and Houghall Campuses - with the overall number of full time students increasing by over 25% against the same time last year.

College Principal, Stuart Wesselby, said: “I’m delighted that record numbers of students are enrolling at the College and want to improve their skills and gain new qualifications.

“With the impact of the recession young people are clearly seeing the importance and benefits of continuing their education. Coming to college to gain these new skills is the best way for these young people to achieve their career ambitions.”

However, there is still time for anyone who is undecided about their future to get in touch and get advice and guidance about possible courses starting now or in January. For more details call the College’s Student Services Team on 0191 518 8222.
