Exquisite Art Deco Fashion Prints at Easyart
Easyart are delighted to work with The Courtauld Gallery in making their collection of La Gazette du Bon Ton fashion plates available in print. Each piece is offered in a variety of sizes and with the choice of a wide range of hand-made artisan frames.
La Gazette du Bon Ton, created in 1912 by Lucien Vogel, was the source of everything coveted in the worlds of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Setting the tone for good taste, this exclusive publication was printed on the finest hand-made paper and was available by subscription only to an elite few.
Each edition of this unbound magazine contained 10 stunning hand-painted fashion plates featuring the latest designs from the top couture houses in Paris. The sartorial works of Lanvin, Worth, Paquin and more graced the pages of La Gazette du Bon Ton with many designers featuring their work exclusively in the magazine.
Vogel commissioned leading art deco artists of the time such as Georges
Barbier and Pierre Brissaud, to produce each fashion plate. Designed to blur
the lines between art, fashion and lifestyle, each exquisite piece featured models wearing elegant clothing in idealistic
narrative settings.
