Katherine Skinner joins elephant communications

Katherine Skinner has joined the newsroom at elephant communications this week. Working with Harriet Powell, Katherine will support elephant’s ongoing market research programme and work on a range of social media projects.

Katherine joins elephant communications as a recent graduate of Spanish and Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews. She has previously worked in the communications departments of Merrill Lynch, Save the Children, Madrid and Fondo de Mujeres del Sur in Córdoba, Argentina.

elephant communications launched 15 months ago by founders Guy Bellamy and Lindsay Marino, who wanted to create an agency with new services attuned to the changed economic climate – offering the benefits of big agency experience and small agency nimbleness in one place.  In it’s first year elephant has been appointed for 16 client mandates spanning a range of industry sectors and grown the team into double figures – including The AA, intu, Association of Financial Mutuals, Aon Hewitt, The Philharmonia Orchestra and Elephant Parade.

Guy Bellamy, Managing Director at elephant communications said: “Katherine is joining the elephant team at an exciting time and if the fifth addition to our team so far in 2013. She will be working across a number of industry sectors and supporting some of our international assignments. We also have a number of insight reports and events planned for the autumn, which Katherine will play a major role in delivering.”
