Breakthrough file theft protection service from eRight

Stockholm, November 21, 2017 – eRight announces the upcoming launch of Tracemyfile - a breakthrough file theft protection service powered by artificial intelligence.

The new technology from eRight, developed in Sweden, works with all image and photo files and allows immediate worldwide protection on the internet. After simply uploading the images to eRight’s file storage and transfer service, Tracemyfile feature finds and reports found copies of the images from across the web including social media.

“Tracemyfile essentially works by letting an artificial brain look at and extract features from a photo to classify it”, explains Emil Romanus, AI Lead at eRight, “that means you cannot steal a photo by rotating or re-coloring it any longer. Because the photo will still contain the same basic features, such as shapes, which Tracemyfile uses to identify it.”.

The company has worked on the solution for over a year. Initial plan was to offer the users add an invisible watermark to the image in order to protect it. With the new Tracemyfile technology the system just needs to see the image once to then be able to find it anywhere online.

“This new and unique feature adds to our already extensive portfolio of data and document protection services”, says Gunnar Nilsson, founder of eRight, “but most importantly it enables every internet user to make sure their private or family photos don't get into the wrong hands”.

The feature is expected to start rolling out by the end of 2017, but a select few customers have already gotten early access to the system.

The company has recently announced the share issue in order to finance its extensive rollout of Tracemyfile and is planning to close the current funding round before the year ends.
