ESVAGT optimises operations

The price situation in offshore markets demands an increased focus on costs. Operation ’Fit for Fight’ will ensure that ESVAGT continues to be a well-trimmed organisation.

The clear price pressure on the offshore oil and gas industry has prompted a change in course for many of the players in the offshore market.

This is also true for ESVAGT, which is why it has launched Operation ’Fit for Fight’; a programme designed to optimise costs within the shipping company.

“The price and costs focus within the market is something that we must act upon,” says Kristian Ole Jakobsen, Chief Operating Officer at ESVAGT:

“We will keep the ESVAGT Standard and deliver the unique, quality product that our customers expect from us – that will not change. Our ambition is to optimise ESVAGT in areas where we can maintain quality while matching market prices,” he says.

Operation ’Fit for Fight’ will help by harvesting good ideas and suggestions for making savings on all vessels and departments in the shipping company. Employees will create a catalogue of ideas for savings according to a number of guidelines:

”Suggestions may not negatively influence safety for those on board ship, nor may they clash with our contractual duties to our customers. Suggestions that may have an effect on the ESVAGT Standard will have to be described in full detail in order to be considered,” says Kristian Ole Jakobsen.
