Press release -

ESVAGT passes 20 years of service on the Siri field

The 'Esvagt Server' becomes the third ESVAGT vessel to work on the Siri field – 20 years of good partnership continues.

The 'Esvagt Server' entered into contract on the Siri field for INEOS on the 1st of July, continuing 20 years of experience and partnership. Statoil started producing from the Siri field in 1999 with the 'Esvagt Gamma' as standby vessel. This partnership continued when DONG took over and continues to this day with INEOS as operator.

ESVAGT has also made some changes during this period. The 'Esvagt Gamma' was on service for 15 of those 20 years, followed by the 'Esvagt Observer' for five years, and since February 2018, by the 'Esvagt Server' - it is this contract that has now been extended to 1st July 2020 with options for a further three years. Duties will include working with tanker assistance, supply, standby and first line oil spill readiness.

The 'Esvagt Server' makes it possible to perform even more tasks than previously possible. The 'Esvagt Server' has 12 cabins, DP2, option for and ROV and is ready for a mobile gangway system.

"We are pleased to be able to extend our partnership on a field that we feel is "ours" and to be able to develop with new services for effective solutions for tasks on the Siri field," says Ib Hansen, Head of Commercial for ESVAGT.
