Press release -

You learn how to sail FRBs here…!

“One of the major plusses of sailing the group 3 vessels is the experience you get in sailing Fast Rescue Boats (FRB). On the ’Esvagt Charlie’, for example, we serviced unmanned platforms in the North Sea, with long working days and many transfers of technicians. Many of the group 3 vessels do that sort of work so you really learn how to sail FRBs. You are constantly busy and always on the water and on the move.”

“Another advantage of the group 3 vessels is that they are small. This really helps teamwork because you just have to make things work every day. This helps promote a strong sense of responsibility and an understanding that everyone needs to work together and contribute to the entire team.”

“The small vessels are clearly part of the shipping company’s DNA. The culture is great and there is a strong sense of responsibility that comes from working so closely together in a small team. The work helps to get the company spirit and values right into your DNA and I think that all colleagues should spend some time on group 3 vessels as part of their training in ESVAGT. You really learn your trade and you can bring those skills out to other parts of the fleet.”
