South Lincolnshire CCG are witnessing a period of significant change within the NHS as the service finds itself under severe strain in the face of unprecedented financial challenges. Key to the NHS meeting these challenges will be its ability to evolve, to bring together competing organisations and in its ability to commission innovative and effective pathways. Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) lie at the heart of enabling this transformation.

South Lincolnshire CCG has 15 member practices and serves a population of approximately 163,000 who live mainly in Lincolnshire but also Cambridgeshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire. They are Lincolnshire's lead commissioners for Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust and have consistently achieved financial balance with their annual budget of £220million.

Their aim is to ensure the people of South Lincolnshire live longer and healthier lives by working in partnership with others to make the most effective use of the resources available. Due to growing demands and financial pressures, it is predicted that in five years' time, health and care organisations in Lincolnshire will have a combined budget deficit of £363 million per year.

It is to this backdrop that they now look to identify their next Accountable Officer. The role of Accountable Officer is fundamental to the success of their local health economy. This executive leadership post is responsible for ensuring the voice of their 15 member practices are heard and the interests of their patients and communities are at the centre of the CCG's decisions.

They require someone who will enhance the values and culture that they have developed so successfully, but bring their own individual style to the challenges and opportunities that the CCG will face over the coming years. You will develop and nurture strong and respected working relationships with the key stakeholders within Lincolnshire and with neighbouring areas, ensuring an improvement in quality of services and the health and wellbeing of the local population, whilst maintaining value for money. Suitable candidates will be highly strategic, able to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and a track-record of successfully delivering transformation.

The closing date for applications is 31st January 2016. Preliminary interviews are to be held during w/c 8th February 2016.South Lincolnshire CCG's Stakeholder Event will be held on 1st March 2016.Final interviews will be held during w/c 7th March.
