Our featured job of the week is for a a strong performing, ambitious NHS Foundation Trust in North London who are seeking to appoint a dynamic and talented leader to run their business development team.

The Trust provide mental health and substance misuse services to people living in Camden and Islington, substance misuse services to Westminster and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to residents in Kingston.

They have two inpatient facilities, at Highgate Mental Health Centre and St Pancras Hospital, as well as community based services throughout the London boroughs of Camden and Islington. The Trust is also a member of University College London Partners (UCLP), one of the world’s leading academic health science partnerships.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Trust for a dynamic and talented leader of their business development team. You will have experience of end to end bid management and business proposal development, and a track record of seeking out commercial opportunities and winning new business.

You will have the flexibility and skills to pick up and lead a range of projects, including service development and transformation projects. You will be able to support the Trust’s strategic planning, and deputise for the Director of Strategy and Business Development as required.

You will manage a small team, and work closely with colleagues from different professions and departments. The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal colleagues, external stakeholders and potential purchasers will be critical. You will want to make a difference to their service users and people facing mental health problems, by helping to develop and grow high quality services.
