A large healthcare organisation based UK wide is looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Governance Director level candidate.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership and support for the strategic direction of governance, quality and risk management and all related systems and initiatives for to meet organisational requirements with the aim of ensuring the provision of safe, high quality care at all times;
• Acting as point of contact for all governance issues in the organisation;
• Encouraging and supporting safe and effective clinical practice through close working with Clinical Leads and facilitating the sharing of best practice;
• Ensuring the provision of relevant data for collation and analysis in order to formulate user-friendly reports to provide an effective basis for the planning and implementation of changes in practice which will provide demonstrable evidence of quality improvement and reduction in risk;
• Undertaking as appropriate and requested, investigations into adverse incidents and human resource issues, providing reports and advice;
• Overseeing the production of weekly/monthly Governance reports for inclusion in the Executive Management Team reports and meetings;
• Leading on the improvement of reporting trends, RCA, SI and overall data capture.

A successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of five years management experience in the health care sector;
• Extensive experience in governance and risk management;
• Analytical skills within reporting information including trends, RCA, SI and overall data capture;
• Proven track record of the timely preparation of monthly and required periodic reports.
