I am recruiting for an interim Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery who can provide leadership and operational management within Risk, Compliance Assurance and Patient Experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Successfully develop the Trust’s strategy for Nursing and Midwifery;
• Adeptly provide the Executive Team and Board of Directors with professional advice and information on Nursing and Midwifery practice;
• Provide expertise in areas of responsibility and provide proactive and visible professional leadership to the Trust’s Nursing and Midwifery and AHP workforce;
• Proactively ensure the clinical training and education teams across the Trust are fit for purpose;
• Efficiently provide leadership and support to colleagues to ensure clinical engagement across all professions and Trust functions in support of modernisation and achievement of the highest quality patient services.

The successful candidate shall:

• Be a Registered Nurse and / or Midwife;
• Possess extensive senior nurse management experience in nursing and / or midwifery;
• Hold a record of improving nursing performance and quality;
• Advanced knowledge of nursing policy and procedure.
